Abstract
The purpose of this article was to present the process regarding how a junior high
school teacher improved his teaching in physics and chemistry through self-observation analysis in a ninth-grade gifted classroom. The improvement project was executed according to Sternberg’s Triarchic Theory of Intelligence, the Problem Centered Double Cycles (PCDC) Teaching Model, and APOS Theory. The author took
the linear motion under constant acceleration as an example to describe the change.
As the result of the improvement project, students presented higher interests to
learn and stronger motivations to explore.
