摘  要 The author first approved the capability of SMPY in helping mathematically precocious students learn faster. She also mentioned the 4-D instruction modes in gifted education‚ which were discovering gifted youth‚ charactering them‚ cultivating them and publishing their research achievements. The main ideal of SMPY was to enhance accelerative learning and to provide Prescriptive-Diagnostic Teaching. The author brought up some suggestions toward education for the mathematically precocious students: (1) actualize early national accreditation (2) students have the opportunity to choose courses according to their ability and achievement levels without limiting by their age (3) students with enough ability are allowed to join the upper grade (4) encourage outstanding high school students to join the elevated installment (5) gifted students with great achievements are allowed to enroll college directly (6) summer programs of National Science Foundation should lower the age limit of attendants (7) NSF should demand half of the summer programs implementing accelerative learning (8) provide scholarship for those who get bachelor and master degree in eight months (9) provide funds for long-term follow up research on those gifted students (10) research the factors why male perform better than female in math (11) teach students to manage time well (12) research the factors why people have hostility toward intelligently precocious persons.
