The main purpose of this article was to discuss the needs for developing the manpower supporting system of gifted/talented education from the viewpoints of the ratio of certificated teachers in gifted/talented education, the implementation of gifted/talented education, the learning needs of gifted/talented students, some relevant
regulations, and teachers’ professional abilities and characteristics as well. The
suggestions and establishment of human resource pool for gifted/talented education were also included.
