Perfectionism, overexcitability and intrinsic motivation are the major characteristics of gifted students. The topic discussed that the positive and negative effects of the characteristics. And discussed the factors what make differentiated. Finally, I introduced the example of problem-based learning models for counseling for gifted students. Implications for practice are delineated.
