| 摘 要 |
The purpose of this study was to explore the current status of new immigrant students studying in gifted education programs. The researcher investigated all elementary schools in Taipei City, Taipei County, and Taoyuan County and found 55 new immigrant students receiving gifted education programs. Most of these gifted students studied in regular gifted resource-room programs in Taipei City, Taipei
County, and Taoyuan County. Among them, female students were more than the male. Their families were mostly composed with a mother from foreign country and a Taiwanese father. There were no big discrepancies among their social-economic status.
