High school of National Kaohsiung Normal University organized an experimental mathematic education program in 1979. The author brought up several methods in math instruction according to his experience of participating the work: (1) Teachers guide students to discuss by practical examples or interesting and challenging questions. (2) Teachers introduce discoveries by ancient mathematicians‚ and ask students to try other ways to solve them. (3) Hold a math competition whenever finishing teaching a unit. (4) Invite professors to teach students timely. (5) Encourage students to get beyond learning schedule. (6) Cultivate their creativity once a week. |
