The author‚ a former principal of He-Bin elementary school‚ brought up his views and suggestions according to difficulties they faced while implementing gifted education. (1) Study of instruction methods should be more important than editing teaching materials; (2) The enrichment level should be determined based on each subject because they must be tie in general curriculums; (3) Gifted education teachers should communicate with general teachers often to coordinate teaching methods and material connections. (4) additional courses could be arranged in flexible times; (5) observation‚ presentation‚ performance‚ and composition could be alternative learning evaluation ways; (6) extracurricular homework for gifted students could be assigned by general teachers; (7) gifted education teachers should pursue further training to obtain more new knowledge. |
