Followed the last quarterly‚ the author introduced activity Ⅲ-selective listening and effective communication. Through Story fan-tan‚ the conductor encourages the members to perceive the importance of selective listening in communication and experience the process and possible biases in percipience filtration. In this activity‚ one of the members first listened to a chapter of a taped story‚ then‚ this member told the story to one of other members. After all the member had been told and then told the story to another‚ they listened to the tape together again. Members were encouraged to discuss how and why the story was altered. |
