The author introduced a gifted education program planned by Indiana University during a summer vacation. The program was held for elementary school students in Bloomington. In the program‚ based on the resources in their community‚ the students leaned to do researches about to their community. The gifted screening was conducted by teachers in each elementary school and directed by itinerant personnel in the end of the semester. Intensive method of teaching was implemented in this one-month program. Curriculum goals of each week: (1) the first week: interests inspiring. (2) The second week: seeking for possible topic of study. (3) The third and fourth week: research conducting. Results presenting was hold in the last day.
