This article is the opening statement of "Gifted Education Quarterly". The author explicated the import and sprit of gifted education in this article. The author suggested that (1) For the gifted‚ equal opportunity for education means adequate opportunity to realize their fully potential. (2)The gifted are in any stratum of society. Wide-ranging identification‚ early assessment and education are needed. (3) Consecutive educational system from pre-school to higher education for gifted education. (4) Gifted education is not genius education or all-round education. (5) Implement of gifted education involve cooperation and support form society. Gifted Education Quarterly is not published because of experimental classes of gifted education; it is published in hope of encouraging a more equitable society and more through education system. |
