Living in a multicultural age‚ we are often exposed to various kinds of cultures. To broaden the mind and to enrich the lives of our next generation‚ our education shall keep up with the pace of time. As an indispensable part in cultivating future talents‚ the existing gifted education fell short in providing a multicultural context for the need of gifted students. Hence‚ it became urgent to probe into the current gifted programs through a multicultural perspective to ensure their smooth development. This paper started out introducing the concept of multicultural education‚ and then analyzed multiculturalism in gifted education. Lastly‚ it illustrated the inspiration multicultural education brought to gifted education as follows: through the improvement of administration‚ staff‚ curricula‚ teaching and testing‚ gifted education could be put into better effect. |
