摘 要 |
This paper aimed at constructing a framework for curriculum development as the reference for leadership education in the school context. Based on the ideas of Orloff (1980)‚ it brought up eight steps to conducting leadership education: 1) philosophical and theoretical foundations; 2) goals; 3) identification; 4) needs assessment or case studies; 5) curricula design; 6) teaching strategies and activities; 7) implementation; 8) assessment. Detailed illustrations of these eight points were presented as follows: (a) Leadership theories (Trait Theory‚ Behavioral Theories‚ Contingency Theories‚ Interactive Theories ) all have their features and points. (b) The goals/ abilities a leader should achieve. (c) Identification approaches include observation‚ interview‚ nomination or judgment (by peers‚ teachers or oneself) and test. (d) Need assessment aims to understand the need of the students‚ the attitude of the faculty or the school facilities. (e) Establishing curricula development team is a very important step. (f) Teaching strategies should emphasize on the dynamics. (g) Leadership education could be implemented through integration‚ independent training or self-development. |
