摘 要 |
With Emotional Quotient coming in the spotlight‚ we were impelled to contemplate on the existing curriculum for gifted students. Past curriculum emphasized more on academic subjects and cognitive domains‚ yet in the face of the ever surging information flow and the pluralistic values in the 21st century‚ teamwork development turned to be the focus. Only through group activities could one earn the opportunity to learn. The questionnaires collected in our school showed that gifted students equally enjoyed group activities. Therefore in this school year‚ the school included in its humanity education topical group activities that combined visiting‚ speech‚ film watching and affective teaching‚ from which the gifted students could gain a comprehensive learning and living experience. Environmental protection and social concerns‚ among such comprehensive programs‚ were two main focuses. Along with science and arts‚ it was hoped that the group activities programs could level up the quality of life to be "true‚ good and beautiful." |
