摘  要 Humanist educationists urge that education workers should put equal emphasis on cultivating the personality of gifted students and on the comprehensive development of individual potentials. Such comprehensive program highlights the value of affective education over cognitive development‚ which has always been the concern of special education scholars. From the view of humanist educationists‚ the importance of moral guidance and value clarification has often been overlooked in educating gifted children. The gifted are taught how to acquire knowledge rather than discovering meanings.
