1. The 3rd ECHA Conference The European Council for High Ability (ECHA) was established in the year of 1987‚ while its 3rd ECHA conference was held on October 11-14‚ 1992 in Munich‚ Germany. This 3rd ECHA conference was held to provide opportunity for teachers and administrators of gifted education‚ researchers‚ psychologists‚ parents‚ and the gifted to communicate with each other so as to promote the gifted to develop potential and benefit the society. 2. The 39th NAGC Conference National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) is one of major professional association in the United States for gifted and talented education. The 39th NAGC conference was a five-day conference held on November 4-8‚ 1992 at Westin Bonaventure Hotel‚ Los Angeles. This conference opened with an address by Dr. Barbara Clark‚ President of NAGC. In the opening address‚ Dr. Clark mentioned four perspectives of NAGC in the coming year‚ including re-construction of school and educational system‚ review and revision of learning assessment and curriculum standards‚ development and exercise of curriculum and teaching materials‚ and increase of world view in curriculum. |
