The paper falls into two parts. The former introduces the function of the resource center in the University of Purdue‚ Indiana; the latter briefly illustrates the educational projects provided in the center. The resource center serves to 1) facilitate the school in developing efficient plans for gifted education; 2) provide seminars‚ speeches on gifted education and on-site counseling for the school district or individual schools; 3) provide related reports‚ articles and resources pertain to gifted education; 4) offer special education plans. The author illustrated nine of the educational projects provided by the resource center‚ including STAR(Seminar for the Talented and Academically Read)‚ STARⅡ‚ PALS(Purdue Academic Leadership Seminar)‚ PCCP(Purdue College Credit Program)‚ Mentorship program and Saturday Special Programs. |
