From the perspectives of "individual development" and "human resource‚" this paper illustrated the importance of career development for gifted middle school students. Citing from related researches conducted in Taiwan during year 1988 to 2001 along with literature from home and abroad‚ the author generalized "individual characteristics‚" "family and school" and "nation and society" as the three major factors influencing the career development for gifted students in middle schools.
