摘 要 |
In 1962? the fourth National Education Conference was held in Taipei. With appeals from the attendants? the conference marked the beginning of gifted education. The Special Education Act was then formed in 1984? which included both the education for the disabled and for the gifted. The core of gifted education is its curriculum and instruction? yet the 20 years of gifted programs in Taiwan left only fragmented curriculum and teaching materials. It thus became an issue in the spotlight to incorporate gifted programs and normal education so that the achievement and pedagogy of the former could be applied to the latter. How gifted education could be put into practice for further application and how the evaluation of the programs could be enhanced were also the focus of concerns. This paper therefore discussed these issues by probing into the following four aspects: 1) Map out the curricula for gifted education and flesh out its content. 2) Apply pluralistic model and strategies to enhance productivity. 3) Share the results of gifted programs to enrich normal education. 4) Reinforce the research and evaluation of gifted programs. |
