| 摘 要 |
The author discussed "enrichment curriculum" and "accelerated learning" in this article. (1) Enrichment curriculum: this method provides gifted children with enriched materials while these students still attend grades in general sequence. But the method often made students too busy in schoolwork. (2) Accelerated learning model was designed according to the mathematics teaching model developed by graduate school of mathematical talents (SMPY) and intelligent and gifted children study group (IGCSG) in John Hopkins University. The main methods were: provide gifted students with challenging and suitable educational experience provide them with flexible and accelerated opportunities‚ validate what they complete in their educational stages regardless of their age. SMPY also developed short-term training model to assist gifted students with individualized curriculum‚ and it could also give suggestions to schools to arrange higher leveled curriculum for students. The author considered that accelerated learning model was more effective than enrichment curriculum in carrying out flexible and suitable individualized instruction. |
